Environment

With the processing of natural materials it stands to reason that the environment is also one of our major concerns.

We try to do as little harm as possible to our common “environmental” future.

We place ourselves well within the legal guidelines where possible. It goes without saying that we protect resources through the use of recycled material in production and via categorised sorting of refuse in the office and production areas, and each member of staff is also called upon to make their personal contribution to this.

Environmental protection is the responsibility of management

Every single manager must set an active example by respecting environmental guidelines. In so doing he encourages the development, education and self-motivation of employees.

Lasting economic measures

This means that we use energy, raw material and process materials in the most economic way and strive for reclamation of recycled resources.
Furthermore, we avoid environmental damage through waste, emissions, wastewater and noise wherever and whenever possible. If this damage cannot be avoided, we limit it as strictly as possible.

Openness towards third parties

We provide honest information concerning our environmental activities and thus build confidence among employees, residents, authorities and the media.

Observance of legal regulations

We observe legal regulations as a minimum standard, and we strive to remain within these legal and official values whenever this is possible and prudent.

Continuous improvement

Within the bounds of economic restraints, we strive for continuous improvement in environmental activities and other areas in order to decrease environmental damage.

Evaluation of how our activities influence the environment

We record environmental aspects of our current and future activities and evaluate the impact on water, land and air within the region.

Preventative measures

In the event of an emergency or accident we would seek to limit environmental damage. We have therefore worked out methods to guarantee the correct and timely response of all people involved or affected.
